A proposal is being developed for a Center for a Solar Powered Future (SPF2050) to be submitted to the National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC) program. Center research is sponsored by the Industry Advisory Board and is carried out at any of the partner Universities in the Center: The University of Texas at Austin, Colorado State University, Texas A&M University College Station and Central Texas, Arizona State University, and Kansas State University. The vision of SPF2050 is to enable a zero-carbon footprint in the United States and world by 2050 using solar energy as a resource.
